For this project, I watched both the "Middle school football" and the "Boy seeks smiles" videos. In both of these videos, the composer started with a introduction that was very modest and subtle. The story was not given away immediately. Suspenseful rather. As both of the videos progressed the composer used an array of shots and angles in order to grab the viewers attention. Overall, both of the videos did a great job of getting the viewers attention by capturing the main idea of the story in such little time.

Throughout my interviewing process I was given the opportunity to interview one of the most influential people in my life, Dr.Micheal Railey. I learned various tools in my broadcast tech class that allowed me to get the best interview possible. The interview went a lot longer than I expected due to the fact that he gave me so much information. I did not use pre-planned questions, but rather thought of them on the spot. I believe that this made my interview much more creative. This project required a lot of planning, but it was all worth it in the end.
Over the past week I have been working on how to properly interview someone. I have learned that there is much more to an interview other than just asking someone questions. I learned how to put a subject in the correct third in order to get the best video possible. I've also learned how to ask the interviewee open ended questions so I can get and listen to as much information as possible. This process has taught me a lot about the intricate details that go into interviewing someone.
In the six word story project, I was able to get as creative as possible and come up with a concept that would get a message across. My six words were "Die young or live unfulfilled life". I chose those six words because they drive a unconscious idea in the mind of one dying young or one being sad. Bit instead, with this concept I twisted some of ideas around to get the viewer to wonder more about the meaning of my video. I used an array of people in this video to try to make it as unique as possible. The entire concept behind my video is misconception. While watching my video, one must truly think about what those words mean in order to reveal the true identity of the video.
The six word story will be a project in which I must use a limited amount of my creativity to make a culmination of videos in which I explain my 6 worded phrase. I am looking forward to this project because these sorts of videos require only a small amount of my creativity. I must dig deep and find specific Ideas that match perfectly with the project. This project will be a test, but nothing that I can not handle.
The video editing process was overall a very interesting and fun process. I learned about the Final Cut Pro process and how to edit my videos in ways I never imagined. I believe that the skills I've learned throughout this experience are imperative to my success within this class. I will be able to use these concepts in the future, and that is an amazing thing to know.
The Iam video was a visual element that I used to help people get a small understanding of I am. I incroporated videos and pictures of my life and the people in it. I take pride in being who I am, and projects such as these are an instinctive and creative way for me to open myself to new people.
During the video scavenger hunt, I went around the school with a fellow classmate and tried to use the best of my video graphic skills to shoot scenes and objects listed on the scavenger paper. This project helped me step out of my comfort zone and explore different aspects of the high school such as the trophy cases. Overall, the project was interesting and entertaining.
